Ownership Teams

Have you ever wondered "Who are the experts on this app in my system?"... Well now you can find exactly that, with ownership teams.

Ownership teams are a great way to show groups of people as experts on an object, giving better accountability for keeping everything updated! On each assigned object, you can see the names, roles and emails of those in the assigned team(s), so you can speak to the right person quicker!

You can also see a team based view of all those owned objects to quickly see what each team is resposible for in your landscape(s)!

Creating an ownership team

You must be an organization Admin to do this.

To create an ownership team from main page:

  1. Go to the home page of your organization
  2. Click + New team in the left hand panel under Teams
  3. Name your new team
  4. Click Create team

To create an ownership team from Organization management page:

  1. Click Manage Organiaztion
  2. Go to the Ownership teams tab on the left
  3. Click + Create team in the tabs in the page under page title
  4. Name your new team
  5. Click Create team

Your team will start of empty, and you can add people in your organization from the right hand panel or Ownership teams page on the admin page.

Adding people to an ownership team

You can invite people from the Ownership teams screen in your Organization management page, or when the team is selected on the main page. You must be an organization Admin to do this.

To invite people from the team:

  1. Click on the team name in the left panel you wish to add people to
  2. Click Add a team member in the right hand panel
  3. Click Add on the people who you wish to add to the team

To invite people from Organization management:

  1. Click Manage Organiaztion
  2. Go to the Ownership teams tab on the left
  3. Click the in page tab of the team you wish to add people to
  4. Click Add a team member in the right hand panel
  5. Click Add on the people who you wish to add to the team

Your teammates will automatically be put in the team.

Removing people to an ownership team

To remove people from the team:

  1. Click on the team name in the left panel you wish to add people to
  2. Hover in the table on the name of the person you wish to remove
  3. Click Remove on the right-hand side of the table

To invite people from Organization management:

  1. Click Manage Organiaztion
  2. Go to the Ownership teams tab on the left
  3. Click the in page tab of the team you wish to add people to
  4. Hover in the table on the name of the person you wish to remove
  5. Click Remove on the right-hand side of the table

Assigning Ownership teams

When in a diagram or the model view, you can assign an owner to your objects.

To assign an owner:

  1. Select on the object you wish to assign an owner to
  2. In the right-hand menu, open the Owners dropdown under the object name
  3. Select the team you wish to assign ownership to
